23-year old Russian video artist Maxim Zhestkov is also an industrial, motion andgraphics designer – and his work is inspired by science: the universe, the infinite and fractals. The worlds he creates are black and white architectures where sounds blend with space to create unusual kinaesthetic effects. Of his latest hypnotic work in which a black sphere deforms and moulds space, Zhestkov says: “I have tried to reflect the concept of the universe between the infinite and border as a pulsating place of energy and magnetism.”
