To find out, we shadowed Katrin Thormann in Costume National’s showroom in Paris.
Reaching rue Froisart at 2.30 pm with her assistant, Katrin meets with the casting director and stylist and then tries on her assigned item for the parade: a hand-painted dress in shades of white and grey.
At first Ennio isn’t convinced with the fitting and decides to replace the petticoat with a blue silk mesh.

Once all the accessories are selected Katrin is photographed and her get-up
codified by Ennio’s assistants. Fitting finished in forty minutes!
Katrin grabs her book, says au revoir and leaves for her next casting appointment.
