In occasion of the 50° Birthday of Barbie, Mattel asked the major fashion designers to create an outfit for the world celebrated doll.

Ennio Capasa, Creative Director of Costume National, dressed Barbie in an essential and refined look, intellectual and creative, sexy but wearable. The fluo fuchsia dress in duchesse silk and velvet profiling becomes “Edgy-chic” worn with black patent platform shoes and the brand signature Vega bag.

The glamorous allure is enhanced by dramatic hairstyling and make-up: a blonde chic twist in contrast with a rock & roll core while the blue eyes of the most famous model in the world are lined with deep black khol.
The Barbie doll by Ennio Capasa Costume National will be displayed in Paris at the Galeries Lafayette department store, together with other designers’ creations from 15 April to 2 May 2009 and within the Barbie Doll House, who will be set-up on the Champs-Elysées in October.
