Like New York, Milan will soon become the international venue of celebrations for the VOGUE FASHION NIGHT OUT, a worldwide salute to fashion to take place on 10 September 2009. From London to Paris, New York to Mumbai, from Beijing a Milan ”VOGUE FASHION’S NIGHT OUT” is a global happening and for one evening at least the lead players at the event will be the general public. .

Franca Sozzani, Director of Vogue Italia and Letizia Moratti, the mayor of Milan have issued a joint announcement. It underlines the central role the fashion sector plays for the City of Milan in terms of image and the economy. Everyone is welcome to attend a range of special events at which both consumers and fashion designers can do their bit to make Milan even more attractive and beautiful than usual.

COSTUME NATIONAL is proud to take part in the VOGUE FASHION’S NIGHT OUT. Its team will be waiting to meet you in Via San’Andrea in the very heart of the city’s golden square mile of fashionwear boutiques. There you ill be treated to a cocktail and have the chance to meet the designer and stylist Ennio Capasa and view the latest collections.

Like the other boutiques taking part in the event, the doors of CN store will stay open till 11 pm to allow people more time to browse and to help maximise sales.

Ennio Capasa, who as always is sensitive to environmental problems, has created a special limited edition T-Shirt to mark this occasion. It’s made from bamboo cotton and will be on sale at the store at a knock-down price. All proceeds will go towards financing Milan Council’s latest “green” project – the planting of over half a million trees in the city centre and outer limits.
