Milan, September 24, 2010 – One Size Fits All, a project by Ivano Atzori, with the cooperation of the Council of Culture for the City of Milan (l’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Milano), enlists influential names in today’s fashion world to interpret an object/icon dear to the artist himself: the ski mask.
With this collaboration, Atzori uses his past as Italy’s most well known vandal to stoke the creativity of the fashion world.
Ennio Capasa participates in the project design a sky mask using his exceptional, provocative and singular point of view.

Textile Storm is the concept of the installation designed by Claudio La Viola for “Abitare il Tempo 2010”, one of the most important Italian event dedicated to design.
With an original and scenographic language, La Viola presents a project that combines design and fashion and plunges the visitor into a virtual storm.
At the centre of the installation there is a wall, 5 meters high and 18 long, covered with umbrellas that turn on themselves asynchronously; in the background the noise of the storm “ripped” from the Divine voice of Maria Callas.

Two silent and parallel corridors surround the installation and guide the visitors through the proposals of “Editori Tessili di Aneta”. Passing huge portals, precious windows-room guard 15 trenches designed exclusively by Ennio Capasa and made with fabrics usually used for furniture.
Ennio Capasa has made available his experience and passion for fashion for “Abitare il Tempo”, an important and ambitious project witnessed for 25 years of Italian excellence in furnishings.

CoSTUME NATIONAL is again taking part in the annual Vogue Fashion’s Night Out (http://www.fashionsnightout.com/). The event is being promoted by Franca Sozzani and Milan Municipality in favour of the city’ s parks and green areas.
Safeguarding and respecting the environment has always been a priority for Ennio Capasa. The designer has created a limited number of special T-shirts – just one hundred -to support the project. Made from bamboo cotton, each T-shirt costs €30 and proceeds from the sale will go entirely to Vogue Fashion’s Night Out green project.
Now reopened after refurbishing, the Via Sant’Andrea 12 boutique will stay open until 11.30 pm.

Sync this event in your phone and organizer now! The Glasshouse in Milan’s via Fusetti for the official presentation of CoSTUME NATIONAL and C’N’C’s new PE2010 press campaign.
On one hand the new campaign harks back to an imaginary world inspired by NATURE and PROGRESSIVE ROCK with photographs by Glen Lunchford for CoSTUME NATIONAL – portraits that come together to compose a manifesto of metaphors and allusions, memory and future times in which the main players are Karmen Pedaru, Christian Brylle and some key symbols of nature: the Dove, freedom and conscience, the Horn, strength and virility.
On the other, we have California sunshine and the children of Rock’n’Roll. Kids who have rediscovered their commitment to a better world without losing track of the need to have fun – just like their parents but with more poetry. Key players are Theodora Richards, daughter of legendary Keith and Maxwell Kamins, son of the record producer and ex-leader of The Electra Mark, photographed by Dan Martensen.

Los Angeles is a crossroads of musical trends, a meeting point for artists and the place for the cross-contamination of emerging styles from world music’s current cauldron.
LA is the starting point for those who have music in their DNA.
Like Costume National.
It’s a musical laboratory in continuous ferment to which sounds flow in from both East and West sides.
We had a date at the Red Room in Bar Lubitsch – undeniably the most musical venue in the city. It gets its name from the dim red lighting employed to illuminate the passionate and strong sonorous experiences on hand.
At the microphone Holly Marilyn and her band “The Child” are dominating the scene: sinuous, psychedelic music with a sophisticated indie-rock flavour.
Straight in from the airport we drive deep into the Californian night – headed for Sunset Boulevard, Melrose, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.
Crowding into the hall at the Lubitsch Bar at the club are producers, musicians, international DJs and people from the movie industry as well as a clutch of VIPs the music majors industries.
Ennio Capasa is onstage to present Holly prior to her performance and after a few moments there she is winning over the audience with her charisma, her voice and strong stage presence; she’s garbed in a seductive rock-star dress. Just right.
A Costume National creation of course.
We wish The Child lots of luck for the launch and release of their first recording.
