Just one day left before the show.

The showroom has been busy for several hours – trying on the outfits and selecting the right accessories.

One day to complete months of work spent seeking out and selecting fabrics, new shapes and matches.

Ennio presents the Galaxy Couture collection to us – manually inlaid fabrics and three-dimensional decorations on cashmere and bamboo, Mikado and duchess silk.

It’s all starting to come together!

The inspirational concept we glimpsed in his studio with its Star Wars princesses, collars and capes has now been transformed into highly refined articles of clothing– velvet spirals wrapped around sheath dresses and voluminous effects adorning necklines as if they were texture-based jewels.

The accessories are quite a spectacle too!
Rock crystal rings and pins and palladium silver bracelets and necklaces suggesting a kind of intergalactic neckwear.

Time 19.00

Now all 37 outfits have finally been chosen – with, unsurprisingly, one or two last-minute changes!

At the last moment Ennio decides to have a white dress redone but it won’t be ready till tomorrow morning.

Thank God for tailors!

Time 19.30

The models start to arrive: Georgina, Snejana, Maryna, Mariacarla….

On them the dresses have a striking effect. . .

The casting director has chosen girls with moon-like complexions – reminiscent of some alien sci-fi film. . .

Time 3.00

All set for tomorrow morning.

We can finally get to bed.
